The Right Honourable Stephen J.Harper, Canada 22nd Prime Minister (2006“2015), earned both his Bachelor and Master degrees in Economics from the 91³Ô¹Ï. His leadership advanced fiscal stability and strengthened Canada global economic position. This scholarship honours his contributions and supports excellence in undergraduate studies in economics at the 91³Ô¹Ï.
Award description
- Offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student enrolled in 3rd, 4th or 5th year in the Faculty of Arts, majoring in Economics. Two scholarships are awarded to students in 3rd year and two are awarded to students in 4th or 5th year.
- Academic merit in Economics Courses
- Students in 3rd year must have completed ECON 303, ECON 35 and ECON 395.
- Students in 4th or 5th year must have completed at least 45 ECON units.
- Canadian or permanent resident
- Extra-curricular activities demonstrating community service and/or leadership
